These hard-working chains support the machines that drive vehicle assembly lines, harvest wheat, and transmit power in conveyor systems of all sorts. From the manufacturing revolution to today, roller chains have been a primary driver of industrial growth. These versatile chains also can be used in hoisting heavy loads, or you can add attachments that provide them with special functionalities for transport.
The precision conveyor chain, like transmission chain, consists of a series of journal bearings held in precise relationship to each other by constraining link plates. Each bearing consists of a bearing pin and bush on which the chain roller revolves. The bearing pin and bush are case-hardened to allow articulation under high pressures, and to contend with the load carrying pressure and gearing action imparted via the chain rollers.
Double Pitch Conveyor Series chains are ideally suited for light to medium duty material handling applications. These chains are similar to standard chain, except the plates are straight and the pitch is twice as long.
Hollow pin chains are chains connected with hollow pins. Attachments can be easily mounted since pins are hollow. The standards of hollow chains are the same as those of standard roller chains or double pitch roller chains, and thus standard sprockets can be used.
Roller Chain connecting links are also commonly known as master links. These links are designed to assemble and dis-assemble using a spring clip or cotter pin.Roller chain offset links are used for making repairs and for adjusting the length of a roller chain. They are also commonly known as half links because when assembled they only add half of a pitch. A standard offset link consists of on roller, one bushing, one pin with a cotter, and two offset side plates to hold everything in.
Pilot Bore sprockets have teeth around the outside diameter of the sprocket body consisting of a straight "pilot bore" hole in the centre with a boss on one side
Taperlock sprockets have teeth around the outside diameter of the sprocket body consisting of a centre machined to suit a Taperlock bush with a boss on one side.
